UK Government throws down a red tape challenge for aviation

In these times of increasing legislation both in the UK and in Europe the UK government is looking for us as a sector to provide feedback on issues where we believe that red tape should be cut back or removed. There is a consultation currently open  www.redtapechallenge.cabinetoffice.gov.uk/themehome/aviation/  and we want to encourage all our members to take the time to provide feedback to the Government.

The period of the consultation is short and closes on the 26th of July. Do not hold back on your comments we think our sector needs to make its voice heard. The classic example of ETS registration and the associated checks required for your agent are but one example. If you also consider the requirement for advance notification of passenger information when compared to scheduled operators then these show why the current processes are not proportionate, or appropriate for our sector.
