Part 145/147 Logbook Practical Assessor

Please be aware that the traditional approach to providing log sheets to support aircraft engineering Part 66 licences is changing. After August this year any practical training submitted to the CAA in support of an application must be approved by a formally approved assessor. Many of you will have approved assessors in your organisations that you have developed and accepted through your own process. Please ensure that you reserve your grandfather rights for these individuals by registering the process that you have adopted within your MOE (Part 145) or MTOE (Part 147) before August 2012 and make sure that you have listed your existing assessors in either of your expositions.  Any new assessors introduced after this date will need to hold formal assessor qualifications, that new assessor qualification will be at NVQ level 1

The important thing is make sure that you secure your position and amend your expositions and get the change approved through your regional office.
